Every web site has different requirements, and below we have set out our views on the various techniques and technologies we use and how they are best applied, along with examples.

HTML	A "hard-coded" website - lowest in cost to produce but much harder to update. Ideal for static sites, ie sites that do not very in content very often. This site is hard coded in HTML.
PHP/MySQL	This combination means a database driven system - ideal for e-commerce websites or those where content needs to be updated frequently. PHP alone allows interactive sites to be generated.
Flash	Flash is excellent for producing clever animations and trendy looking websites, but it is very poor for search engine optimisation, as the search engines cannot see much of the content of the site. Ideal for well established brands and sites where the owner is not worried about being found via a search engine. It is also appropriate if used carefully to enhance a website through the inclusion of video, audio and animated adverts.
